The Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union Radio Station will broadcast on the frequency FM 99.1 MHz
Introduction:The Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union will be on air next month with its own station. Lao Youth Radio Station will broadcast on the frequency FM 99.1 MHz.
Story:The ceremony to mark the start of construction of the new radio station project took place in Vientiane on Wednesday the 25th of March, attended by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Savankhone Razmountry and Deputy Secretary General of the Lao Youth Union Dr Khampha Phimmasone along with relevant officials.
The new youth radio station will provide programming specifically tailored to young people, including music and entertainment as well as public awareness campaigns and other official announcements.
The station will become a promotion centre for Lao youth development, especially promoting the skills of the youth and distributing new information and other entertainment activities.
The radio station will have a transmission strength of 2.5 KW and be able to broadcast over a distance of 100-150 kilometres.
Lao Youth Radio Station will go to air from 6:00am to midnight seven days a week.
